Diabetes And Your Teeth

The effects of diabetes on a person’s teeth are often overlooked because of all the other health complications that diabetes can cause. Because people with diabetes have high blood sugar levels, they may end up with dental problems. High blood sugar levels may cause the bacteria that can lead to tooth decay to grow at a faster rate. Some individuals with diabetes may not be aware of these facts since it’s often not discussed as much as all the other potential complications related to the disease.
